Yesterday we were packing for Daddy's up and coming deployment. If you have ever packed or helped pack for a deployment you know the horrible job this is! If not, well don't worry you are not missing a darn thing. It consists of destroying a room completely within 2.2 seconds and taking 30 minutes to an hour at least to find the floor of said destroyed room.
So Daddy brought all of his gear out to the living room and we started sorting it into piles of what goes into what bag or tough box. Seeing as this is our 4th deployment we have the hang of this and were done in about an hour from start to finish. Should we truly be proud of that?? HMMM I say yes!
While doing this S decided he was hungry so we plopped him in his highchair next to us with dinner since the girls we upstairs playing and we of course were busy packing. He was nice and content until he saw Daddy's helmet and had to be JUST like Daddy so we put it on. This boy loves his Daddy and I can see the military in his future one day though I prefer not to think about that just yet.
Look at this cutie? Don't you wanna just take him home with you? Yeah? Go right on ahead but I can't guarantee you won't wanna bring him right back!

Snaggletooth
V is super excited today! For weeks now she has been coming up to me telling me her tooth was loose but it was never quite loose enough. Today on the other hand she came running downstairs yelling at me that it was ready, really really ready! I sent her in to wake up Daddy to have him check it. Low and behold it was really ready! A few pulls from her and out it came!
For those who don't know I cannot stand loose teeth or pulling teeth! They just make my stomach churn no matter what I do. I can handle them once they have been pulled but the whole process up to that I hate! This makes it super difficult when Daddy is deployed but thank heavens for the In-Laws living close by so they become teeth checkers/puller for me! Pitiful? Yes! I agree but I just can't help it. Maybe one day I will overcome this but I don't think it will be anytime soon.
So without futher ado...here is my snaggletooth of the day!

Convention/Competition = Exhausted
We had a super long weekend which consisted of waking up super early on Saturday (0430), waking up 2 sleepy girls (M & my niece), getting the van loaded, waking up S, and driving 1.5 hrs to a dance convention/competition. Oh yeah did I mention that this was 14 hrs of pretty much non-stop dancing for all of these kids?! They started dancing at 0815 and finished the convention at 1530 only to start the competition at 1730. The competition did not end until 2230 and started again at 0800 Sunday morning so to say everyone was exhausted would definitely suffice.
I am so thankful for the fact that this was held at a hotel so Daddy, S and myself could head upstairs and relax. Can you imagine a 20 mth old having to occupy himself in the halls of a hotel for that long?? I may have had to to admit myself in an insane asylum after that!! S did amazingly well considering he was completely out of his element for that long. He loved the crib they had there and I wish we could have brought it home with us!! See picture below to see just how happy he was!
The girls did a wonderful job!! I cannot wait for Nationals in June!! These girls all start out strong but by June they ROCK! Its amazing to see how much they have grown in just a few months. I am so proud of all our dancers.
We were blessed to have V & A be able to stay with Daddy's parents this weekend. Those girls had a blast and did not want to come home! All of the kids love spending time with Grandma and Bebop whenever they can so its definitely nice to have them living so close by.
Yesterday was spent recouping and trying to unpack though not much of that happened b/c A wanted me to spend every waking hour attached to her hip. I guess she missed me more than she let on!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Still here..oh and still sick!
I finally broke down and went to the Dr. this morning. Guess what she had the nerve to do? Tell me I had bronchitis!!! Doesn't she know the rules that Mommies don't get sick? So anyway I left there feeling a bit defeated and waiting on my prescriptions to be ready for pickup. I love not having to drop off and then turn around and pick up my prescriptions now! This whole electronic thing kicks patootie!
I realize I didn't give an update on S the other day. Well we took him in and the "health powers that be" are not on our side lately b/c poor guy has an upper respiratory infection that is most likely croup. Don't you just love the definite diagnosis the Dr's give these days?? Nope me either. They actually drive me batty. He is doing much better now though. They gave him steroids for the inflammation so that helps him internally. Externally? Well now thats another thing! He goes bonkers for about 1.5 to 2 hours and then just crashes. I guess I should be thankful that he does crash and not go wild like some people on steroids.
I am looking forward to tonight though! We have an FRG meeting/hail & farewell so M gets dropped off at dance (where else!?) and V, A, & S are going to child care. (Don't worry S isn't contagious & neither am I!)It will be great to get out just as adults even if its only for a couple of hours and is technically for Daddy's work.
For now though the kiddos are taking a nap/resting quietly and I am off to find something to wear. I am sure that it will be dirty even though I did all of that laundry! So is the life right? Have a great day!

UGH
Dont you just love my title??? I really feel like crud and didnt want to take time thinking couldn't come up with a catchy one to express exactly how I have been feeling so that's what you get!
The sickies have invaded my house and I am DONE! Ok well I think they should be done but for some unknown reason they will just not leave my body. Now they have invaded S as well. He sounds so pitiful with all the congestion, coughing and raspy voice. I am going to take him to the Dr today. With the weather changing from super freezing and snow to nice and sunny we are more concerned about it moving into his chest and causing pneumonia and want to nip it in the bud before it gets too bad. Pneumonia likes to sneak up on the least suspecting person in our house so this wouldn't be the first time!
You may ask why I don't take myself to the doctor right? Well my friends that is because I am the mommy and mommies are not allowed to get sick. Oh wait I think my body may have missed that information! Could someone please come and explain that to it? I would be more than grateful.
In addition toeveryone me feeling under the weather lately my poor house was suffering the effects. Thank heavens that Daddy was home the past few days and in the spurts of feeling good we tackled the house with the help of the older girls. Man they can work if they know you need help. Its just those times when you are feeling great they decide not to help. HMM I need to figure that one out!
What does one do when they only feel good for about 10-15 minutes at a time? Why laundry of course! Oh now don't go thinking that I only did 1 or 2 loads of laundry this weekend. Nope I did 7 of them!! The sad thing is that I have probably 3 more to do. (this is me hanging my head in shame) Yep I let it get a bit out of control but its almost all caught up which for me is awesome! Laundry is the bane of my existance. Really we do not get along at all. I think partly because I have to go out in the garage and in the winter its just really cold. Seriously who wants to stand on cold concrete handling wet clothes? Not me! The other reason is this thing called putting laundry away. I dont really mind washing, drying or folding it. Its the putting away I DESPISE! But let me tell you, getting it all put away and my living room not looking like the washing machine vomited all over it was awesome!!
So word to the wise. Even though you may hate putting all that wonderful smelling, freshly washed laundry away go ahead and do it! It may surprise you how much better you will feel. And that my friends is coming from a super sick (hey hey not mentally just physically!) woman this week!

Super Bowl Sunday & A haircut
We are not football watchers around here. Ok you can pick up your jaw now! I am actually glad because football makes absolutely no sense to me. We do however watch the Superbowl with family every single year.
Today started out fairly normal. Took S to the barber shop to get his haircut. Does anyone know how weird it is to take a boy to the barber shop after having three girls that you take to the salon?? Normally Daddy takes him but I had to register V for soccer today so Daddy decided he would stay home with the girls and I would run all the errands. I love doing that! S always does amazing when getting his hair cut though I have a hard time looking at him afterwards and not commenting that he doesn't look like a baby anymore. Kind of makes me proud yet sad at the same time.
So anyway onto the Superbowl! By the way I did at least pick a team and was pulling for the Saints. No clue why but that was who I chose! We headed to Daddy's sister's house and got to eating. I always love family gatherings b/c there are so many munchies. Its kind of like a buffet at home and this very picky girl likes to eat! We made it to halftime and had to head home because S was getting tired and the girls have school tomorrow. So home we went. Now the kiddos are all in bed, we are watching a movie and I am doing laundry.
Does your laundry just multiply by itself? I swear that we have elves in my garage and they just play in the piles every night. One day I WILL come up with a system that works for me.
Have a great week everyone!!

Blizzard Bloghop
Household6Diva was kind of enough to host Blizzard Bloghop for those of us who couldn't attend Blissdom. Thanks Household6Diva!! Head on over to her blog to read many more amazing blogs or participate yourself!
A little about me/us. My name is Lynn and I am married to my wonderful husband who we will call Daddy who is in the Army. We have 4 children (3 girls and 1 boy) who you can read some about here. They are the biggest joys in our life though Daddy jokes that his true love is his helicopter! ;) We all know he is kidding (or is he??). I am just starting my hobby/business in making hairbows for all your pretty little princesses! I am currently making several bows for our oldest daughters competition dance team!! I sure hope they look as cute on stage as they do up close!
We have been lucky to have the chance of being stationed at Campbell for going on 10 years now. WOW times flies! We have been through 3 deployments and 1 turn to Korea since 2003 and are getting ready for another deployment pretty soon. I gave birth to our last 2 children while he was gone with the help of his family who watched the other kids and his sister who was my coach/laughing partner.
Our house is normally filled with chaos which most days is a blessing but somedays my ears could definitely use a break!! I definitely wouldn't trade it for the world though! I bet you are glad you are reading and not actually here listening aren't you now?? Welcome to our Chaos!!
Boring week but full of fun and chaos!
****WARNING---LONG POST AHEAD***
So the last week has been pretty boring around here but definitely filled with chaos! Last week started off with a bang when V and S came down with the stomach bug. V stayed home from school on Monday which wasn't too bad since she just layed around most of the time.
Tuesday was back to normal..well as normal as 2 screaming, giddy, running around toddlers can be!
Wednesday the bug hit me but thank heavens its was not near as bad as the kids since I was supposed to be cleaning my house so my sister could come visit!! Oh and did I mention that M came home from school on Wed with it too??!! What did I tell you? Chaos ruled our house! I am thankful that I at least felt good enough to bake a cake for V's 8th birthday. Wow time flies!
Thursday I spent the day trying to clean and de-germ our house so hopefully my sister and niece wouldn't get sick too. They had already had it the week before! They finally arrived just after the girls got home from school and everyone was super exicted to see each other. Around 5pm I received a message from school that because of the impending snow all schools were closed on Friday. What better vacation could you ask for??!!
Friday we spent the day cleaning out the girls clothes so we could pass them down to my niece. Thank you to my sister for the help!! Oh and we all waited for the snow that we were supposed to get.
Saturday morning I woke up to let the dogs out and could barely open the door there was so much snow out there! A little late is better than never. Whoo hoo! We bundled up all the kiddos and sent them out to play. My niece had never seen snow before as they live in Alabama so she was so excited!! Daddy helped all the kids build a snowman since I, being from Alabama myself, had absolutely no clue.
Sunday they were supposed to head back to AL but since the roads were not all clear they stayed another night. Great for the kiddos since school was cancelled for Monday as well! Daddy took all 5 kiddos out and about so M could go to dance rehearsal and so my sister and I could continue to clean out closets and clothes. How awesome was that? I agree...pretty freaking awesome!!
Daddy went back to work on Monday and my sister left so it was just me and 4 kiddos who were becoming overrun with cabin fever. No way was I leaving the house unless I had to though as the last time I drove in snow/slush I decided it would be fun to total my van. No way, no how were you getting me out in it! Ok well I had to get out and take M to dance but I left plenty of time for traveling as slow and carefully as possible!
The rest of this week has been filled with as much chaos as possible. The younger 2 kiddos have been adjusting to an empty house since everyone is back to work/school. Between dance, making hairbows for dance, and all over life we have been pretty busy! I woke up this morning feel under the weather and hope I am feeling better pretty quick! I have tons more bows to make before tomorrow afternoon!
I hope all of my readers are doing great!!
PS..pictures to come as soon as my wonderful hubby will transfer them to my computer! ;)

Not Me Monday
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
Does anyone have a super duper sweet child who screams at the top of his lungs just to hear himself? Or how about that older girl child who decides to scream "stay away" everytime above mentioned child screams?? Nope NOT ME either!!!
I would never jump for joy when I go to open the back door and it almost doesnt open b/c there is over 5 inches of snow on the ground. NOT ME. Nor would I get excited about going outside to play with my kiddos and actually build a REAL snowman for the first time ever (those 1 ft tall "bunny rabbits" just don't count!). Nope NOT ME!
No one in this house would run to the store to pick up milk and toilet paper because we actually needed it and proceed to laugh at all the people who flocked to the store to buy out the store because of the forecast of said snow. Nope definitely NOT ME!
I also would never make my husband drive me to the store the night before the snow was supposed to arrive just to buy me my dream camera (can anyone said CANON??) just so I could take amazing pictures of the kiddos playing in the snow. Nope NOT ME! (Yep I am loving every second of my life with my "baby" so far!)
